Team Announcements

We're almost there, only two more days until the first practice of 2016! With that in mind there have been a couple changes to our team.

First of all, Coach Colin has withdrawn from consideration for the 2016 NCDGC. He will still be involved with the club through the semester, but has chosen to focus his time more on his upcoming attempt at thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. What is the Pacific Crest Trail, you ask? Check out some details about this massive undertaking here! It's safe to say that the Colorado State University Disc Golf team would not be the same (or even exist at all) without all the hard work Colin has put in over the years. I hope that throughout this semester we can all show our appreciation in honor of his efforts and support him on his next great adventure. Let's make this semester one to remember!

Secondly, our teammates Luis and Zev have not enrolled at CSU this semester and will not be joining us for the remainder of the year. We wish them both luck with their future endeavors and want to remind them that they always have a spot on the team should their paths lead them back.

So what does this mean for the rest of the team? Check the Tryouts page and find out! Colin, Luis and Zev occupied three top positions in the NCDGC standings. Suffice to say, by removing them from contention there has been some movement in the rankings.

Keep in mind that currently we have only played four tryout rounds, and each player is allowed to drop four of the 12 total tryout rounds. Current standings have been calculated by dropping only the lowest two rounds. After our tryout on January 31st, and into the future, scores will be calculated by dropping each player's four lowest rounds.

That's all for now, as always email us at csudgweb@gmail.com with any questions/jokes/insights and see you all on Monday!
